So glad this video popped up on my recommendation. I’ve been trying to understand tarot meanings for the last week or so, searched and watched quite some videos but most superficial and unable give more deep meaning/ historical context. Usually just describing the superficial and obvious meaning of the cards which I could probably read from some instruction books. I’m only 2x minutes into the video but am confident it is what I’m truly looking for. Surprise this video isn’t on the top search result. Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Hey, this is amazing but I guess I’m feeling a bit confused about some of the meanings. For instance, in this video you describe the two of swords as a clashing of two ideas, worlds etc in which the querent feels caught in the middle, unable to choose. When I look in the rider tarot book guide that comes with the set, it labels it as being about conformity, friendship, affection, intimacy. Your explanation makes more sense when looking at the illustration, but the official guidebook paints a different story. Just hoping to have some insight into this as I try and learn tarot.

Actually it is not always super simple to take the trumps and go horizontally to each suit... basing everything on that forgoes certain shreds of truth

I don't like the idea of a reversed card referring to the previous card, for the exact same reason you said you don't like the exact opposite interpretation. If the previous card exists in the deck, it should have come up when it was needed.
